Release!

Well, naturally, a ton of features had to get cut, but we did it. For most of us, this was our first ever game. Definitely my first time doing art like this...or at all, really. I'm glad our team got to learn a lot in this crash course on game development, especially considering our extreme schedule limitations. We're planning on working more on this game in the future, since we came so close to having an explosion of other features! Thanks for supporting us and playing the little demo, here's hoping to more soon!

The Story:

Many years ago, the world broke apart and fell into an enormous hole. After the initial panic, people found they could continue life on the falling chunks of land. They discovered that they could fly from island to island using sails, and harness the power of the rising wind to power giant Sunglobes. New nations are forming every day, as self-declared kings backed by giant airships explore the endless expanse for new resources. The question still on many people's minds, however, is what awaits them all when the world reaches the bottom of the mysterious pit.

Freefall is an action/adventure game that puts the player in the wingsuit of Alex, a young teenager whose family is tasked with maintaining their rural island's Sunglobe.

Who we are:

The GB Jam couldn't have come at a worse time for our team (traveling, work, etc.), but we put as much time in as we could! Everyone participated in something outside their main strengths, as this was definitely meant to be a learning experience before all else. Most of the developers had never used Unity before, and no one has done 2-bit art and animation like this in the past.
