**Prototype of a game, built for my thesis**

Set in a future where humanity utilizes "Gates" to travel between solar systems, you play as a Gatekeeper—an individual gifted with the ability to manipulate gravity. Your primary responsibility is to protect these gates and ensure the security of various solar systems from external threats.

The story begins when an invasion starts at the lunar gates. As a Gatekeeper, your mission is to prevent this threat from reaching Earth by locating and sabotaging enemy bases established on the Moon.

**Gameplay Overview**

This title is a first-person shooter (FPS) that integrates puzzle elements with high-mobility combat. The game features procedurally generated lunar environments, ensuring that the terrain and object placement change with every playthrough. Each mission centers around reaching a specific tower marked on the lunar surface.

**Key Mechanics**

* **Gravity Manipulation:** Utilize unique abilities to navigate the environment, including levitation (allowing movement in all directions) and wall-running. Inside towers, players must use gravity shifts to traverse vertical spaces and reach the summit.

* **High Mobility:** Combat is defined by fluid movement, including sprinting, jumping, and dashing. Dashing can be combined with jumping to maintain momentum through the air.

* **Weapon Management:** Players utilize laser-based weaponry. However, weapons are subject to a heat mechanic; frequent firing will cause the weapon to overheat and temporarily become unusable until it cools down.

* **Tactical Combat:** Engage enemies using specialized moves that function on a cooldown system. Managing your health and monitoring weapon temperature is essential for survival.

To prevent the invasion, you must destroy the enemy towers via two primary methods:

1. **Sabotage:** Defeat enemy NPCs on the lunar surface to trigger "killswitches" that can be used to destroy the tower.

2. **Infiltration:** Enter the tower, navigate through its interior, and defeat the central boss by destroying the five servers that power it.

The enemies are intelligent, aggressive NPCs that utilize vision-based detection. They react dynamically to the player's actions, seeking cover when wounded, retreating to reload ammunition, or attempting to flank the player if their line of sight is broken.
