Update 3 is going to be late. Midterms + getting shivved by the game engine (yoyo games just unplugged their servers for the version of game maker I've been using.) On the bright side, it looks like I'll be supporting linux now...
this looks very interesting and keeping an eye on this is basically why i joined game jolt. however i could never get it to run, only getting an error when i try to get past the titlescreen. nonetheless, i'm very excited for any future developments in this. don't see alot of gnolls in fantasy games, let alone playable ones.
DESCRIPTION:
Gnoll Raider Gnolls vs. Gelatinous Cubes is a real-time dungeon-crawler with randomly generated dungeons. As the name suggests, you play a gnoll (A fantastical creature, part man and part hyena. Don't ask.) on a quest to loot, pillage, and scavenge carrion take bloody vengeance on those pesky cubes.
STATUS: Alpha (Proof of Concept)
progress to beta: 30%
This game is currently under development, but the proof of concept (i.e., the alpha version) is available to play.
The game is nearly feature complete, but needs a lot more content before it will be good for anything.
Some day I will port the game to a custom engine instead of the closed-source abomination that is Game Maker: Studio
For in depth progress reports and shameless self-promotion, see the development blog I acquired about a year ago.
