I actually played through the game on all three different difficulties, and I have a lot of things to say.

First of all, I think the game is good, not great, but I enjoyed many elements of the game. I really like how depending on your choice of difficulty, you get four different starting monsters. For easy mode you get the strongest playable monsters, then for the harder difficulties you get weaker and weaker kaiju. I also think combat is intuitive but not overly complicated, I think FNAF world is a good comparison: more active combat, three moves per character. Most of the fights are also pretty good, certain characters are overpowered, and other are overwhelmingly weak making a strange disconnect.

As for issues I think certain monsters aren't much fun to fight and others can just instakill you without much feeling of fairness or balance.

Biollante and Hedorah: very annoying poison monsters, with strong attacks, and often fights with them last super long, I had to change my entire team just to win against Biollante in hard and it still took like five minutes.

SpaceGodzilla: if you do not stun him, he just becomes a vaporizer, absolutely deadly if you turn your brain off.

I also wonder why the game only has ten playable monsters instead of more. Some monsters in the game could easily be copies of characters already playable and could share moves. But I am satisfied with the ten we do get as they provide enough gameplay variety. One major issue is that for some reason I cannot access the Extras or Trophies at all, I thought maybe if I completed hard mode I would unlock them but nope!

Overall I think it is worth trying out even if it isn't all that much. I purposefully didn't go into combat or strategies since I think it is best if you form your own. And trust me buddy...

the ending is so worth it!
