Green Grid Dominance

Welcome to Green Grid Dominance!

In Green Grid Dominance, or GGD, you are the CEO of a new clean energy company. You started this company in your hometown, because you notice that there is not even a single green energy station in sight. Your goal is to help your hometown go green, and overtake the competition that's stuck using dirty energy.

How does it work?

When you start the game, you will see the map you're going to be working with. The map is completely random - no two games will be the same.

You have four energy stations in your hotbar: solar panels, wind turbines, geothermal plants, and hydropower plants. Your stations earn you money - you can spend it on more stations, or even better stations.

See how you're doing - in the top right, you will see your power in blue and your competitor's power in red. Your competitor starts with full power...

...so, you have to work your way up!

Game mechanics

Each energy station has properties of its own. With better stations, you can earn more revenue and more power to dominate the grid.

Solar panels can be placed wherever apart from water and sand. They are the cheapest at 150 coins, and will generate 3 coins per second.

Wind turbines can be placed wherever apart from water and sand. They cost 250 coins, and will earn you 5 coins per second.

Geothermal plants can only be placed in low areas. They cost 425 coins, and will earn you 7 coins per second.

Hydropower plants can only be placed in water. They cost 700 coins, and will earn you 10 coins per second.

You start with 200 coins, and play lasts 5 minutes. Whoever has more power by the end of the timer wins! If you have the same power as the enemy, you win, not them.

Controls

WASD - Move your character.

LMB + DRAG - Drag items from the hotbar on the map.
