I don't know if it's just my machine, but the movement is super fast, e.g. if I press the left stick, the player literally shoots across the room in a blink of an eye until he hits a wall. I don't mean run - I mean he's faster than the projectile. Did you forget to multiply the movement speed by Time.deltaTime for the change in position by any chance?
Also, could you remap the shoot key to one of the triggers on the Xbox controller? It's really difficult to aim AND press the A button at the same time since they both are controlled by one right thumb.
