yes
some of the effects are alright, like the bullet effects, and the backgrounds.
But the sprite design is very poor, the ships don't even appear at the top of the screen, and, again, no particle effects.
Basically all of these things could be fixed if more effort was put into the game; it doesn't seem like there's much work in here. 2.5/5.
