Super Mario Bros. DX (abbreviated as SMBDX) was a Super Mario Bros fangame from the early 2000s (circa 2005) that gained a fair bit of traction upon its release. It was originally being developed by Eve Garcia, however after her untimely passing the game was finished by her brother, Adam Garcia. For years, the game was considered lost media, until now!
