What do you think?

What if instead of Operation Bluelight, it was Task Red Illumination?

Step into the dangerous, uncharted world of cyberspace in a 2D #retro #beatemup #platformer.

=Features=

  • [An original story] Taking place after the events of the first season of the Heroes of Megatoweropolis web show with MAJOR setup for Season 2. Out now.

  • [Character costumes] Enhance each character's abilities with digital outfits tailor-made for them. Use prisms to purchase.

  • [Virtual Colosseum] Survive, fight, and win big in a non-stop onslaught of enemies.

  • [Cybernetic Overload + Time Rush] Unleash your inner speedrunner. Fight every boss and play every stage in one sitting as fast as you can.

  • [In-game achievements] For the completionist in you. Can you do every single thing on that list?

  • [Flexible Xbox and PS controller support] Switch from the gamepad to your keyboard and back at any time

  • [Two-player local co-op] Invite a friend to venture deep into the digital realm and aid you on your mission.

  • [Full customization] Lean into the PS1/SEGA Saturn era with an optional CRT filter and 4:3 aspect ratio toggle!

Tips:

Boss 3's health is too high and your damage dealt too low to be beat the old fashioned way. Use its own attacks against itself by making it shoot and destroy the floor beneath you.

The final boss is a similar story. Its health regenerates a little every time it dashes across the screen. But once you knock it down to around half its health bar, the dash will no longer regenerate. Hit the boss as hard and as fast as you can, then go for broke!

Gamers, THERE'S BEEN. A PATCH.

Play it now, Windows and Linux users.

One day, Mac users...one day...

New update out for the game.

Found a game-breaking bug in Virtual Colosseum. Expect a patch.

The final build is out now. I would really appreciate it if everyone playing the game would leave their honest constructive criticism. I suspect I might need to patch something, but I don't know for certain.

I was gonna port the game to Linux, but sadly the exporter wouldn't work for that platform for some odd reason. That doesn't give me hope for the Mac build.
