What do you think?

gg

I like the artstyle! Has a lot of potential, this game. I'm curious what you guys do with it! Good luck! :D

This prototype is great, a pretty solid racing game! My only problems reside in the drifting and track itself.
I found the drifting too twitchy and would like a little more control over how tight the drifting is, but I managed to get used to that. My other problem is in the 'Egyptian' section of the track (the first area) there aren't enough arrows on corners, and on my first few attempts I kept going right off of the boardwalk, other than that, it is great.
I realize that this is a prototype, and I can't wait to see more!

Hi,
We made the 3D models on Blender and the game engine is Unity.
The physics scripts are custom made. We only focused on the driving, this why this prototype is very buggy when you crash or go offroad.
What did you think of the game controls ? Did you try drifting and boosting ?

i like this disign very much which programs did you use ?
And wath about the physics ?

Atomic Raccoon is an Indie Studio working on a new kind of racing game. This one track minigame is a prototype we were working on to try some new racing controls. Experience the balance between drifting, snaking and path finding. There is much more to come. We hope you'll enjoy.

We're organizing a small contest between friends until Christmas, and you're more than welcome to participate : http://www.atomic-raccoon.com/the-great-challenge/

GAMEPAD CONTROLS
A = accelerate
B = decelerate
Triggers = drift ("déraper")
Left joystick = turn left/right

KEYBOARD CONTROLS
SPACE = accelerate
C = decelerate
X = drift ("déraper")
ARROWS = turn left/right

TIP
Drifting is the key in this game to go faster. You gain a bonus in average speed for every drift AND you get a boost on the release of a long drift.
