Ultrachrome: Invasion of Exerion

just played through the demo and oh man is it nice!) it's a big improvement over Path of Ice in many areas - the story has a more serious tone to it which i appreciate, the world map got expanded and exploring it at your own accord is a joy, the plot is more cohesive, and, all in all, it just feels better!) lots of small but nice stuff, too - like when you fail a boss battle you don't get a game over but instead transported to the nearest inn to recover - definitely lessens frustration from losing to some big dumb bird)))) Thora is definitely a highlight of the game, i just like her a lot, i'm a witch too so it's a given i guess - we need more witches in rpg games so that i can identify with more chars!)))) also Juan. he's swag.

still though, there are some problems that i'd like to see get fixed - firstly, the entrance to Salveon village is invisible on the world map so it's kinda awkward to search for it by hugging the mountains)))) secondly, in the Umbra village when you exit some of the houses you get transported to the entrance of some other house instead of the one you just exited. next, i think that adding some kind of a crator around the meteorites would be great - would emphasize their important and lure the players in to them) oh, and check the direction fix box on the meteorite events, too! and you can also get infinite meteorites by just interacting with them over and over again to claim 'em)))) and, finally, the weapon shop is kinda pointless since all the stuff they sell with the exception of the hp potions (and even those are in abundance on maps) are already on your guys and gals by default, so yeah - adding some other things and gizmos there would be nice)

all in all, this is another promising demo! i wish you best of luck and lots of inspiration with this game, Ryuusei, and take care!)
