NINTENDO PLEASE DON'T SUE ME!
nintendo ninjas

It's dangerous to post Nintendo fangames online! Take this.
My boy, this peace is what all true heroes stand for.
YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND AND WE LOVE YOU FOR THAT DAWG
its zelda.... but jeeeeeb... (READ MORE!)
This is an unofficial fan-made recreation of the original Legend of Zelda for NES. It may appear similar to the original but there's many different surprises to be found here. Think of it like "Super Mario Bros Special" types of modifications made to the original Legend of Zelda, with new enemies, new areas, new secrets and more!
There's no compromises here- this is the FULL experience with NEW additions and modern design improvements!
Remember that this is not made for profit and should not be confused with an official Zelda game. The Legend of Zelda series is personally my favorite video game series of all time, and if you've never played any of the games before, I hope this game motivates you to give the others a try! You won't regret it, trust me.

The original legend is back and wilder than ever!
We're back in the lands of the original Hyrule, a desolate wasteland infested with evil commanded by Ganon, the Prince of Darkness. Legends say the land of Hyrule was once a bustling kingdom of peace and commerce, but when no hero stepped in to stop the rule of Ganon, equipped with the Triforce of Power, it was doomed to meet its bleak current state.
Astonishingly, after all the turmoil the land has faced, all hope isn't lost.
Zelda, the descendant princess of the land, held the Triforce of Wisdom. Without both Triforces, neither good or evil can truly rule the land. Before Ganon could capture the princess, she bravely split the Triforce of Wisdom into eight pieces and hid them inside eight ancient dungeons to keep it out of Ganon's clutches. Impa, her assistant, was sent to five a young courageous hero to embark on a quest to find the Triforce and slay Ganon.
The call was eventually answers by a young Link.
The fate of Hyrule is in your hands. Will Link successfully uncover the Triforce fragments and slay Ganon, or will he die trying?
The only way to know...is to play...The Legend of Zelda....the Jeb version.
or the original im not stopping you

Right, so this game isn't just a 1:1 copy of the original game. Fun fact, that's how this project initially started, but I quickly learned that's a boring way to approach making a game. Here's a brief overview of all the new features I've included in this version:
New Items
All of the original game's items are here and accounted for, alongside some new additions retroactively included from future Zelda titles! You'll be able to find the Hookshot, multiple Bottles, the Ice Rod and more! The amount of inventory slots have expanded from 8 to 14.
New Dungeons
The overworld map may seem familiar at first, but you'll soon find that all of the dungeons have completely different layouts with their own secrets and item arrangements! They're all still shaped after different things, that's always fun. Dungeon 3's layout won't get me cancelled...
New Characters
You'll find more faces than just old men across your journey. Future series characters such as Saria, the Gerudo, Ingo, Mila, Makar and many more are found hiding in Hyrule's caves, from the familar to the obscure to the completely bizzare. Their advice is actually helpful this time, too.
New Enemies
Oh joy, it's like Link's Awakening all over again. You'll come across every enemy from the original game alongside unique ones from future games or games from completely unrelated series roaming the lands! Creepers, Buzzblobs, Jelectros, Boos, Magons, Pansers, oh boy!

Thank you to everyone listed below for making this project possible!
