'KALABAN' is a survival horror game with an emphasis on storytelling.
The story is set in the year 1995, in an alternate history version of Finland. The main character of the game is Bob, a hermit and an American who has moved to live in Finland.
The events take place in a small town on the Western coast, where mysterious forces awake. Bob must find out what is going on, and discover who or what is behind all of this. The game puts you against different monsters, and makes you work together with other survivors to make it out of the town alive.
The game takes heavy inspiration from 90s DOS games and immersive story simulators, and features similar mechanics to those games. We've wanted to create the same kind of open-ended feeling, and also create the visuals with modern HD fidelity.
