What do you think?

I guess I get to be the bad guy here. A nifty old school visual style doesn't make up for a terrible story, which seems to have easily moved everyone else because teh sad = teh good. It looks great and the music is all right -- the tv screen effect in particular is fantastic and gives me a tickle of nostalgia. But since this game was story-based, the story is what I'll be criticizing.

Apparently I've been gone a long time, and finally returned to my love, who immediately proves to be a high-maintenance bitch: she's too delicate to operate a furnace on her own, which makes me wonder how she didn't freeze to death while her big strong man was away; and she insists on being given presents, because clearly the return of her loved one isn't enough to please her. And even the present itself isn't enough, because on a whim she decides she wants me to give her this present on the water, which I apparently can't swim in because I instantly drown six feet from the shoreline. Cue melodramatic ending text about lost time, which seems pretty out of place in a game that wasn't even ABOUT lost time: it was about trying to please someone who obviously wasn't happy with me. In fact, all I took away from this story was that I'm a spineless twit, my ladyfriend wanted me dead, and the author has never written a proper romance in his life.

Zero engagement, zero sympathetic characters, and doesn't have nearly as much depth as it thinks it does. Hopefully your next storytelling endeavor will be more fruitful, and will look just as nice.

I enjoyed the simplistic style! A nice little game, and I think maybe a longer game in this kind of style could be very nice! Really liked the soundtrack.

how do u publish your games??

Good game. Really loved the art style and simplicity. Kinda agree with Mike and Wisheez when I say the story could be improved. However, the theme is still pretty revelant. Good work! 4/5

Loss is a retro style game made to look like it was played on an old CRT machine.Heavily inspired by KniteBlarghs Hewwo trilogy (http://gamejolt.com/games/other/hewwo-1-2-3/8766/), Loss attempts to tell a story with few words, with a similar (albeit worse :P) graphical style. It will only take a few minutes to beat.

This is a bit of a concept game, so I understand it will not really be everyone's cup of tea, but it was really a project I made because I wanted to, not because I thought people would like it.
