Pretty solid execution and very tough. I don't know if it needs it but a timer to memorize or take a guess might be a good addition.
Also changing some of the button clicks to a global click (like, instead of having to actually click on "GO", being able to click anywhere in the game window) might help improve the flow a little better. Well done though.
Is there a way to restart? All I get is a black screen after the match.

It was very difficult since each gem can only match with exactly one other gem. Have you considered reducing the number of colors, so that there are more potential matches possible? (I.e. just have 4 colors, any blue gem can match with any other blue gem).
wow this is the hardest match game i ever played its going to take lots of time to clear the board nice.
LowResGem is a match puzzle. Its a try for me to get started with limejs framework. I liked it, great doc helped and its pretty intuitive. I think I enjoy making this more than you'll enjoy playing it.. but please give it a try.
Game works fine with firefox, chrome and safari.Also works with touch mobile.
This is no pretty game, the challange was 32x32 pixels game resolution.

The game: collect gems by pair. Look well at the memorize step. clic on top to release. gems will turn to rock, then the game starts. Clic on a rock and find its same color pair. Be carreful, there is three types of green, green ligth, florest and ruby. There is alight blue and a white, doen't get confused, this is the difficulty of the game. When you match you recive a life (5 max) if you get wrong, you get hurt.
