Madman
Playthrough video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLdxAqhX3BM
This is the second game I've made in Unreal. It is constructed around Nietzsche's "Parable of the madman", read here by Ravi Zacharias (https://youtu.be/KVPjWyMgStc).
It isn't really a game - my goal was to take the player on a musical journey. I am fascinated by the potential of spatialization in musical composition, and I wanted to take advantage of the great possibilities that Unreal offers for that. The environments are very dark and minimal in the goal of pulling the player's attention towards the sounds that are evolving around them.
I am pleased with the project, however I still consider it as relatively rough. It has taught me a lot in terms of what I can do with the engine and given me lots of ideas for expressing musical ideas in game form. I'm looking forward to developing this knowledge soon !
Features full controller support.
