BLINDING LIGHT OF LOVE (Main Menu)

A unique and allegorical horror experience. The player is a deer. They must avoid being killed by “fawnstalkers” while trying to find a mate. The opposite of a hunting game, you are the prey!

You are a whitetail buck, and mating season has begun. The woods are filled with fawnstalkers, natives who want to skin you alive. Can you find a mate before an arrow finds your heart?

MECHANICS

YOUR MATE

  • Your mate will spawn in a random place. You can hear her crying if you're close, and she wanders around slowly.

    FAWNSTALKERS

  • Fawnstalkers travel in packs in the woods. They hunt in the woods and track you over time. They carry bows and will rain arrows upon you if they see you.

  • Fawnstalkers moan and groan as they hunt. Many fawnstalkers will shout when they see you. Some more adept hunters will be totally silent, giving you only the sound of arrows as a clue that they are in pursuit.

  • If they get too close a fawnstalker will not miss the opportunity to kill you up close.

  • The deer can take a few arrows / attacks before dying.

    FOOTSTEPS

  • Listen for footsteps for clues as to where your hunters are. Your mate also makes sounds as she tracks through the forest, so not every sound is a threat. Listen for her cries, and the moans of the fawnstalkers.

    ARROWS

  • The fawnstalkers are adept archers. They can shoot at you from up to 1/4 of a kilometer away.

  • Listen for the sounds of arrows whizzing by or sticking into trees around you. If you hear arrows, you know someone is chasing you, and can even figure out where they're shooting from.
