this is too morbid i dont like this anymore man...
I fucking hate love this game so much its not even funny man
I love Morning-Wednesday and how it all seems nice and dandy and like your average Dayshift at Freddy's game, the interactions with characters feel extremely nice and their dialogue is funny and interesting - I love playing against Kent, Fazbear Fighters Z would get its own unique game and I would play it 24/7.
I am going to write literally everything else in Spoilers because I do NOT want this review to spoil ANYTHING from this game. I feel like this game deserves to be experienced blind for the best possible outcome.
I love how the characters are written, its legitimately so fucked and good, dear heavens...
I love how Jacques seems to be the Dave Miller / Purple Guy / Aubergine Man character type and ends up being genuinely the chillest guy, a complete subversion of expectation. I love how his backstory develops him so much further and makes him more sympathetic and how he genuinely fucking saves Cheryl even if he's putting his life at peril.
I love how playing with Kent on Monday ends up being an important beat that ends up developed and resolved on Friday when he's become Fredbear and makes you fight him, effectively turning the Fazbear Fighters Z "Fredbear VS Marionnette" bossfight into a reality.
I love how Evelyn is genuinely such a disgusting gut-revolting character, doing the opposite of Jacques and subverting the good-ending positive character from this type of game and making her a manipulative and abusive piece of shit who genuinely took advantage of someones disability and then tried to murder them for no real good reason, I love her scene with Cheryl and how unsettlingly disturbing it is in the deepest psychological way.
I love Cheryl - just, everything about her. She's the coolest protagonist one can ask to embody. I love how dark and cruel her past is, with such a disgusting and horrid father figure, I love how something she wasn't aware of followed her into adult hood in such a rotten way. I love how going to Fredbears goes from a pleasant experience to the worst mistake of her life, with being abused once more and taken advantage of not only by her coworker but by a mysterious yet familiar figure. I love her scene at home and how vividly disturbing and traumatic it feels. I love her ultimate demise, once again being in the hands of a manipulative vindictive person who only wishes to use her for their own ulterior motives. I FEEL SO FUCKING BAD FOR CHERYL EVERY SINGLE TIME I THINK OF HER, GOD FUCKING DAMN IT, FUCK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH A DEPRESSING WONDERFUL CHARACTER, GUSH!!
...I also love Hank and how he is so clearly a buggy unstable old generation of the Phone Guys, glitching constantly and confusing Cheryl with Charlotte, further complementing Stitchtrap's storyline.
Oh, right, Stitchtrap. I have no words on him. I fucking hate him, he is a disgusting vermin, and I wish the worst on him bro. I genuinely cannot hate a fictional being so much its so fucking gross. He was so self-absorbed and mentally ill he started interpreting words as threats and ended up with his life, the life of his daughter, his very own life basically, and the life of every Fredbear employee for no real fucking reason. It's gut wrenching, and I hate love the way his dialogue is written so much, its so tasteful and corrupt, dear fucking God if I think of how venomously putrid he speaks every single word I'm going to cry bro its way too fucking good.
The physical horror of a mute person losing their hands, the only way for them to communicate, is also so fucking terrifying, like, fuck you for putting that in my head.
I hate how Cheryl's second time around the abuse train is one which basically destroys Cheryl and forces her to become someone she is not - and, I hate it even more when you realize its William grabbing the closest looking human to his co-workers daughter (I have a suspicion he may have also killed Charlotte but since its not stated anywhere I'm going to fucking pray thats not the case bro) and turning her into his own forcefully, literally changing her human appearance to the one of her daughter and then forcefully turning her into what he envisions his daughter would look like in a form similar to his Stitch-self.
Fuck dude... Its soo fucking goood....
Only complains with the game is the lack of any other route that isn't a Game Over (I really wished the "(nods no)" route to go somewhere else that wasn't just the normal route but having to suffer more slicing...) and how the Dayshift at Freddy's bait segments don't really have allat much to them.
Besides for those, dude, this is the kind of shit I imagine when I read "Darkfic", this shit is genuinely dark and twisted and rotten while sticking away from the habitual taboo subjects that surround the darkfic genre which make it lame for me.
Thank you so much for doing this game. Genuinely.
Chef's. Fucking. Kiss.
imma force people to fanart stitchtrap idc bro im devoted now
Made an account just to say this; the art in this is amazing and the game is just as beautiful. Great work B)
