Meltdown Laboratories [2018]
Meltdown Laboratories was a game i made back in 2018, during California's "Holy Fire" season. It was part of a five day Clickteam Fusion project Hosted by a science company. The game was made under the following impression:
"You are a scientist in a laboratory. However, the reactor core has gone into it's critical stage, and you must flee the testing area and escape."
This game was also made at the same time "Terminal Spud", an Overkill Games production, was made, seeing as the games were tied together for no rhyme or reason due to them being made in the same time period, and we sat next to eachother. [LOL!]
The First room was the most basic room, and consisted mostly of me learning game development. It was the creation of the Main Player, obstacles, and a healing system. The tutorial being given taught the creation of a "Boss" at the end of the level. Henceforth, i created the "Evil Xbox Robot" that really has no business being there.
For the next few rooms, They were purely my own work. Once i learned what i needed to know, i began construction on the majority of the game. After a while, i favored the "Escaping Lava" mechanics over shoot and fight enemies, so it became that. The Lava physics are a little sharp around the "Surface" of the facility, so it's most likely that you won't finish the game on your first try. also, no checkpoints, YAY!
