Hey, this game is super cool, and has great potential! Reminds me of Metroid.
That being said, I made a video on my youtube channel, and found some bugs. One of which, during the boss fight, was gamebreaking. I died with the special machine gun attack running, and when I respawned, it was running indefinitely. Easy to beat the boss then.
Take a look at it and the rest of the bugs I found. I hope this helps with future updates as this game progresses!
So I think I'm in a bit of a weird position on understanding your intentions for the game, whether you want it to be a fast paced shoot-'em-up in a tanky mech while always regaining health by attacking or that of a nimble glass-cannon that needs to dodge to stay alive. Considering the movement mechanics provided the jump, flight and dash lead me to the latter, and the the dash again and the slam make me think the former. My biggest issue stems from the aiming system. Most enemies can fire omnidirectionally while the player is limited to the cardinal and ordinal directions. This made it difficult to position myself in such a way where I could both reliably avoid and deal damage on most enemies. I really think revamping the aim controls to either use the cursor or right stick respectively would go a long way to helping the flow and feel of the currently slow pace of combat. I've been a little tough so I will say the artwork is awesome and I love the music and general visual design. I can see this being an awesome, hectic and precise shmup/action platformer, but I really think the mechanics should be updated beyond the retro D-pad feel. Best of luck in your kickstarter! I've linked all your info in the video.

hey there, you should add more images/videos to your media bar and also keep us posted via devlogs on your Kickstarter. Should also post your Kickstarter link somewhere here :)
I didn't really enjoy this game all that much. Got a little boring to me.
