MEZQUITA HEARTS: Degree in Medicine

Mezquita Hearts: Degree in Medicine is a 1 vs 1 fighting video game based on Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. It uses all the benefits of the card system at its maximum on a one on one battle system where every player can choose its own strategy to beat the opponent.

Initially, it was thought to be a two player Kingdom Hearts version, as we thought the card system wasn't at its full potential. However, we found much more fun to create our own characters, and as we were medicine students, we thought the best choice was to recreate our professors to fight with them.

Gameplay

• Fast paced fights: Play one vs one battles with a fast real time gameplay where only skill and strategy are the keys to victory.

• Card-based gameplay: Choose a character and fight using cards against other professors. Actions are defined by cards, and in order to attack or heal yourself you have to use cards. Cards can be played at any time, but their numbers will determine their effectiveness.

• Lots of different actions: The big variety of cards allows to have numerous actions to be performed by the character available at any time, resulting in lots of animations and attack styles for each character.

• Combine cards in special moves: combined attacks are the sum of three cards and can have, if the cards are a specific combination, a special effect much more powerful than the three by their own. A combined attack means the first card is lost, be it may be worth it...

• Total character control: Move freely through the stage, running, jumping, hiding yourself and dodging attacks while planning your strategy.

Build your strategy

Different cards have different actions, different cost and different card break times too! Before a battle starts it's very important to have a designed strategy with different cards for different functions. Use the powerful Deck assistant to create set of cards and customize decks with the Deck editor to start the fight in advantage. These tools are very easy to use and provide a fast way to make new decks even without knowing the effect of each card!

Game modes

Fight in a battle to death or with a time limit against another human or against the computer, or learn the game mechanics from the beginning by using the tutorial mode.

Improve your skills by analyzing the match statistics after the fight and the overall statistics in the main menu to become a real card master.
