this looks awesome!) i alredy love the style you're going for with the sprites for Chester and Lazlo, 0kXairen! even though they look pretty similar to earthbound, they still look pretty good and have their own unique charm - especially Lazlo, what a guy...

although, i notived one weird thing with the sprite for Chester - when going up he has a small artefact in his hair to the left - two or more black pixels just disappear into non-existance whenever he walks... his walk cycle to the right and to the left has the same problems, but now with the top of his head - between patches of blond hair there are black pixels, but when walking they sometimes disappear and reappear... it's a small visual error but getting rid of it would help a lot!)

all in all, i have my hopes for this project - the music already goes hard and the overall idea behind the game is pretty cool!) 0kXairen i wish you only best of luck, nerves of steel and lots of inspiration during the development process!) take care!

Comical Shenanigans

I've been focusing on the story and have decided a direction I want the game to head in the near future. I'll likely release the next demo once I've finished up the first Lazlo area, with more puzzles and NPC's and dialogue and stuff (3/4)

On the topic of that, however, I still don't have a product for 0.04 that I feel is ready to release, considering how the majority of work done recently has mostly been backend stuff, meaning there's very little new content. (2/3)

Daily Mindbent Dev Update #1 (yeah this is a thing now)

Spent most of today's development figuring out how to make a successful opening cutscene before the title. It kinda worked. (Coming soon in 0.04) (1/2)

Replaying 0.03 this morning and realized I had Lazlo say "Keep up, Kris!" instead of "Keep up, Chester!" I was watching Jerma play Deltarune 2 at the time and also Toby Fox is like my biggest inspiration ok leave me alone :(((

By the way, the 0.02 Release of the Mindbent Demo is labeled as "0.01" when you extract the zip, but it's still 0.02, just a small error on my part.

- Literally just fixed the bug that caused the music error to pop up and make the game unplayable. It's playable now.
