I found this file labeled “SENTE_UPDATE_1986” buried in an old arcade dev archive. It looked like a new version of Bally Sente’s Mini Golf… until I noticed a few details that didn’t belong.

The logo flickers between Sente and Sentient.

The Hall of Fame lists impossible scores — and one name I recognize.

The gameplay preview looks normal… except the ball isn’t red. It’s black.

When you start playing, it feels fine — at first. But after Hole 9, things start getting... scary.

The course looks like it's on fire. The music reverses. The rocks look like they're spattered with blood.

And then, someone asks for help.

There are two endings depending on what you do.

Finish the course — or run out of strokes... permanently.

Either way, the game doesn’t forget you.
