Based on the anime series, Higurashi or When They Cry better known in American English!
Play as Mion or Rika in their very own game! Theres no connection with the original anime and doesn't starred important characters like Keichii who won't appear in the game.
While it has nothing to do with the anime its based, a lot of things taken from the anime, the comic, and the visual novel games appear in different forms of their own in Mion and Rika. This includes enemy and boss characters, locations, vehicles, and the most part for the storyline!
3 different modes of play. They are platformer, visual, and map modes! Platformer lets you see the game as a classic 2d run and jump! Visual mode lets you see in first person in some areas! Map mode is simply where you can explore around before selecting a level or area!
Unlockable things like hidden characters, minigames, and more!
Up to 2 players! the 2nd player can join at anytime in the game! Cooperatively to beat the story together or against each other for the best score!
