As an old member of Gamejolt welcome to Gamejolt. For the best social experience, scan the new games every 2 days, pick out competent developers and follow them. You might get 1 post out of 100 devs in a week. Devs like to post crazy stuff and that's content right? Comments are very rare throughout the plethora of games uploaded to gamejolt (it's a river). Good games frequently appear like snow_cabin and the_old_view but it takes some serious weeding to get at them. I don't personally play apks (3rd most common) but they are rather frequently uploaded here (as are html5 games(most common) / windows exes (2nd common), to a lesser extent, gameboy roms / n64 roms /) so you'll be fine.
