I don't mean to come across as nit-picky about art, but I do have a suggestion.
Looking at the screenshots, it occured to me that your enemy art is pretty cool. Now, here's the issue.
In games, consitency of style is an important aspect to keep in mind while developing. Ensuring an art style is applied to everything properly is possibly one of the most crucial aspects to a good looking game.
Saying that, I feel that the environments should also be pixel based. It would accentuate the theme you're aiming for, and would allow the game to join into the genre of 3D pixel horrors.
I completely understand if you have no interest in my words, but I personally think that a pixel based environment would make me want to play it because it would remind me of "imscared" or "I See You", two games which I adore for their interesting method of scaring the player, and their nicely assembled art style.
As for attracting attention, I would advise buffing up the thumbnail art a bit. Changing the standard "Enemy face on black backdrop with red text" would heavily increase your viewership, and would help you get your game some more attention. I know that making a really awesome thumbnail is incredibly difficult, but while developing it's important to focus on your game's first impression.
Also, sorry that this is a tad long. I just thought you might like to here some suggestions.
What is this ?
Nyctophobia is a game made based on the idea of the phobia of the dark called, Nyctophobia. This game and most of the assests were created by myself although the main menu theme and a few sound effects were made by my friend.
This game is only a prototype of what I wanted the final game to be. I will most likely not be adding to this because it is a prototype.
Story
After a massive storm cut power to the suburbs, strange sounds begin to echo through the house. Survive until the alarm goes off, which wakes you from your nightmare.
Other
I used a lot of sounds from freesound.org and mixed them together myself using Audacity.
The enemy sprites were created by myself on Photoshop.
Game created with Unity 3D.
Versions
1.0.0 : Release.
1.0.2 : Fixed bug where the player dying SFX wasn't effected by the effects slider.
1.0.3: Fixed a ton of menu issues, removed some menu text. I made it to be 'created by (my name)' instead of my groups name as this was a personal project.
