What do you think?

kinda have 1 problem with this and is that even if you download a binary for 0.6 so that you can play the mod, the binary copies the saved data from the version of supertux you always use

The first release of PepperTux, after all this time...

Game Soundtrack

Arctic Darkness (Song by AnatolyStev) (Includes a reference to "Clavelian March" from SuperTux)

Nolok captures Penny, but this time, the levels are different, and it's kind of nostalgic.

How To Install

Just download and use the run_peppertux_portable.bat file to run the game in a portable way. I don't know what SuperTux does there but you avoid save file issues with this method.

If you found any issues, report the issues to the GitHub Issues page for this repository, or the comments of the GameJolt page of PepperTux.

Story

The same story as SuperTux, basically, Tux goes to a picnic with Penny, but Nolok attacks and captures Penny, leaving just a note telling Tux that he doesn't stand a chance at getting Penny back, so Tux goes forward to Nolok's Icy Island castle, hoping that Nolok and Penny would be there.

The Purpose Of This

PepperTux is meant to be like SuperTux 0.6.3 with some 0.7.0 things. It's a mod for SuperTux 0.7.0

There's really no purpose, just here for fun.

This isn't meant to be "finished SuperTux before SuperTux Team does it", although it is kind of that (to be honest, by the time Tropical Island or Snow Mountain is finished in this, SuperTux will likely already have one or two of those (Tropical Paradise / Mountain Peaks)), it's meant to be a fun little "what if" question, like what if old SuperTux had the new worlds and even a Desert world? (Secret Desert, as it's a secret world)

Also, the worldmaps are different now.

The levels are also replaced with new ones.

Source Code

This is a mod of SuperTux v0.7.0 that edits the source code... or at least it will at some point, just not really now since there's no need to. Yes, sector_parser and various badguys have sprite files changed, but that's not really that noticeable in-game.

This is what the new test level's first part looks like. Ignore the fact I haven't changed the position of the text yet. Also it still uses old coins right now. That will be changed!

Reminder to myself: I have to actually remember to put credits next time I post a screenshot which has new things in it...

Anyways, credits for the previous post have been added to the previous post because I forgot when I posted the post.

Adding new (forest) enemies and a new test level! The next commit / update to peppertux-haxe that adds things will be big. Again.

Scrapped version of the Forest Stalactite

https://github.com/PepperTux/peppertux-haxe/wiki/How-To-Add-New-… If you want to help add new things to peppertux-haxe (the old but now it's actually new PepperTux), this teaches you how to do that.

https://github.com/PepperTux/peppertux-haxe/wiki/Milestone-4-Des… New PepperTux Milestone Design Document just appeared.

Any changes to the game that has something to do with this design document can be added*

Also, if anyone knows how, working polymod support would be appreciated.

Putting all enemies into separate folders

I should clarify, previous post doesn't mean this is cancelled! It just means I'm going back to using HaxeFlixel.

I have some bad news.

Enemies that are like the Vicious Ivy (only Vicious Ivy right now) Seems to not be able to hit the player if I decrease the "thing" variable and if I increase the "thing" variable, it makes the Vicious Ivy's hitbox a bit weird.
