What do you think?

kinda have 1 problem with this and is that even if you download a binary for 0.6 so that you can play the mod, the binary copies the saved data from the version of supertux you always use

Free

PepperTux Milestone 1 (v0.1.0)

Version: 0.1.012 days ago
The first release of PepperTux, after all these months!

Game Soundtrack

1 song

Arctic Darkness (Song by AnatolyStev) (Includes a reference to "Clavelian March" from SuperTux)

Nolok captures Penny, but this time, the levels are different, and it's kind of nostalgic.

How To Install

To download and install, you should download the data zip file on this page and replace your SuperTux 0.6.0 data folder with the data zip file's data folder. It's surprisingly really easy. If you don't know how to do it, I can give you the SuperTux 0.6.0 binary thing from SuperTux-Binaries on GitHub with the data folder already replaced.

If you found any issues, report the issues to the GitHub Issues page for this repository, or the comments of the GameJolt page of PepperTux.

Story

The same story as SuperTux, basically, Tux goes to a picnic with Penny, but Nolok attacks and captures Penny, leaving just a note telling Tux that he doesn't stand a chance at getting Penny back, so Tux goes forward to Nolok's Icy Island castle, hoping that Nolok and Penny would be there.

The Purpose Of This

PepperTux is meant to be like SuperTux 0.5.1 with some 0.6.0 things. It's a mod for SuperTux 0.6.0.

There's really no purpose, just here for fun.

This isn't meant to be "finished SuperTux before SuperTux Team does it", although it is kind of that (to be honest, by the time Tropical Island or Snow Mountain is finished in this, SuperTux will likely already have one or two of those (Tropical Paradise / Mountain Peaks)), it's meant to be a fun little "what if" question, like what if old SuperTux had the new worlds and even a Desert world? (Secret Desert, as it's a secret world)

Also, the worldmaps are different now.

The levels are also replaced with new ones.

Credits (Full list is on the GitHub README file)

For more information, go to the authors file on the GitHub repository... when that's finished. Will likely be finished at the end of Milestone 1.

I haven't posted in 2 days, don't worry the game is still being worked on, I'm currently working on some levels of the future worlds because they will be "examples" or whatever the word is of the future worlds. There will be one level for each world.

Was working on a background for the Jungle levels of Tropical Island and Gimp (The program I was using) crashed. I cant put into words how angry I am right now.

Cutscene stuff, Flame enemy, an unfinished castle level and lava has been added to the repository!

Cutscene stuff and the Flame enemy will soon be added to the repository!

Crystallo and a new level has been added to the repository!

Apparently it's WIP Wednesday so I'm gonna show the next level that is gonna be added to the repository soon along with the Crystallo enemy.

Edit: By show, I mean this post. I don't show anything on the official WIP Wednesday post comments.

Something I just noticed is that the brick sound seems to play like 3 times at once when hitting a brick that has nothing in it.

If PepperTux runs extremely slow on your computer, compile it for html5 instead of Windows / Mac / Linux (use lime test html5 -debug instead of lime test windows/mac/linux -debug)

For some reason, Icecrusher seems to slow down the game a lot. I'll have to look into why this happens unless it's just a problem with my extremely old laptop that literally has a Windows 7 product key on the bottom of it.

Nevermind, all I needed to do was reinstall Haxe 4.3.7. Might've messed something up in my "path" thing trying to build the SuperTux Editor.
