That's the reason why I play almost all of your games
You're original, and you try to surprise people with something new
unlike some
I hope you make more of these because this game was cute. There's some stuff that I feel is kind of drags it down a bunch. The skill menu feels really overcrowded for no good reason. I assume you'd want to do more with them but having the one skill just be a damaging move feels kind of unnecessary when you already have the basic attack and black orb (unsure if I interpreted the tutorial wrong when you mentioned jabs lowering dodge but you could just make orb remove dodge if that's really a priority). The blue soul is really unruly and I never really fully managed to utilize it well. The charge up for it feels too long and the gravity on it feels way too floaty even if that's the intention. I noticed fuzzy heal also just tends to function weird, with it activating the second you enter the battle box, meaning you can just stand there and heal until you progress the enemy's dialogue. It also continues attempting to you during the death animation, sound effects and all. There's a few reoccurring writing mistakes in the dialogue like non capitalized "I"s and missing commas, but that's not as important as the mechanics of it. I also think that the Papyrus red bones before your soul turns blue just kind of doesn't work like regular undertale's because there's no mention of his "blue attack" and the soul color not matching up with the bones anymore, this is mostly a nitpick but you could probably replace it with something else.
Nice demo. music is nice
looks pretty good for a scratch, and the blue soul mechanic are hard to play, but it's still not bad. I hope you find a decent team (I can help with attack concepts).
