Pirate island quest

Funny story. The arcade machine in the start is a cool intro to the game.

The gameplay is pretty fun already, though I feel it could be a tiny little bit more refined! For example, I shot my three coconuts in the first screen, failed to pick up on of them and was left with only 2 shots for the remainder of the game. Also, I didn't particularly care for the dialogue that much. Overall you've got something decent here though. There's definitely much room to improve a upon an already very decent game here!

i really like the idea of the game. only thing i found was that its hard to move around the trees but i know time limitations can make stuff like that hard to finish, but i really enjoyed it. come check out my game! rated and voted. http://gamejolt.com/games/armechgeddon/80346

It looks very nice, but right at the start there's a problem. There's no indication that you have to pick up the coin, and I didn't even know it was a coin at first. The shooting mechanism you have in place feels weird. In arcade games, you either have unlimited ammo, or limited ammo with the ability to pick up more and a backup (like punching) in case you run out. It's also too easy to lose your coconuts. I shoot them while trying to avoid the crabs, then I end up going to another area. When I go back the enemies reset and my coconuts are gone. That's another thing. If someone so cared to they could switch back and forth between the first and second rooms just killing the first three crabs over and over again. If you continue to work on this game after the jam, fix these issues. They're game-breaking at the least.
