Pretty neat game, only complaint is that you did the Dormitabis camera system and that shit stinky. Otherwise I think its a pretty solid remake :>
From what I'm noticing this game is very inspired by tealerland. Am I correct?
I'll be honest here chief. I don't think the game is all that good in my opinion.
The maintenance panel feels more of a hassle rather than the original, where it was just click a button rather than typing out a full on command to fix something. I can't really say that I'm a fan of that tbh, feels like you took something simple and turned it into a hassle. I get that you can easily press ? to pull up a command list, but it feels like your trying to add realism or something into the gameplay which I'm not a fan of.
The Dormitabis camera system thing is here and I very much dislike it. It feels worse for a game like this where Springtrap can hide in different parts of the room and I have a hard time trying to view if he's there or not. Topple that with the maintenance panel being changed into typing when all you needed to do was press a button and I have a hard time saying that I prefer this over the original Fnaf 3.
Now, none of this stuff would be all that big of an issue if the game simply just... didn't play like Fnaf 3. It feels more of a graphical update (I'll talk about the graphics at a later date) rather than a remake and doesn't change the problems that Fnaf 3 has. Springtrap is still the only threat that can kill you but you can easily hold him off at the top right camera and he will never come and get you. There are no other threats that require you to switch cameras to deal with because they are all phantoms. For some reason that I don't understand why, you got rid of BB and Chica and just Bonnie is here. Even in the trailer Chica is missing and I just don't understand why. It feels like you didn't bother to find out what was wrong with Fnaf 3 and rather just took the Fnaf 3 and gave it a graphical update, rather than fixing what made Fnaf 3 a not so favorite of the franchise. I get that Springtrap is supposed to be some sort of final boss, but it's best if you simply add more threats that you need to deal with rather than the same old thing. The free roam segment where you look around the abandoned Fnaf 1 location is pretty neat, I wish that played at the end of every night rather than Night 5. I did the minigame and it looks good, but it's only like what, three minigames in total? Compared that to the five of the original plus the post night minigames, I once again have a hard time preferring this over the original.
Now this isn't just going to be "I dislike everything about the game" because there are good things about it. I think the minigame looks good as mentioned before, and the graphics and models look really neat as well. The phantoms I feel do all look the same, but they still look decent rather than just edited models compared to the original.
At the end of the day, I just don't see myself liking the game. It feels more of a graphical update with less minigames and the same gameplay as Fnaf 3. It might just come with my overall mixed opinions on Fnaf 3's gameplay in general. I think the game has potential to be good, but at the end of the day, with the same gameplay that has been seen in Fnaf 3, I have a hard time liking the game. This is just my opinion and I'm glad that anyone else who has played the game has enjoyed the game.
Just streamed my playthrough on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/live/VfU7Buy8mew?si=QS4Cm2CEHC2sRdga
Overall, incredibly fun. It was exactly what I was hoping for from a FNaF 3 Remake, most games don't usually meet my expectations, but this one did. Good job.
I didn't like FNaF 3 very much but something about the changes here were fun, I think it was mostly because of the maintenance panel changes, it feels like you dramatically shortened the time you had to wait on the maintenance panel and it did absolute wonders for the game, also Springtrap felt far more responsive to the audio than he did in the original FNaF 3 not sure if that was just me getting lucky though.
I think a notable thing for me was the style of the maintenance and camera panels, they just felt really interesting for me, I liked them A LOT.
hot as fuck
