As others have said, this is really quite worse compared to the original version, i have yet to play the entirety of the rework, but i doubt anything major has been changed. Adding 2 rooms, changing a bit of dialogue, extending the chapter 0 path, isnt enough to really warrant making this. The fact you HAVE to wake up Laa Laa in order to progress is dumb, you go 2 chapters not knowing you can't even beat the game. Not only removing an entire section full of dialogue, but you make us replay up to that point again. The qte with tinky winky is horrible, even if you hold the buttons you still die. This is ultimately inferior to the original.
You are being unfair to the game. Yes, restarting the game because of the Laa-Laa choice is not a fair design decision, and Tinky Winky’s quick time events are bad, but the game has a lot more things it does well. It offers better graphics, good death scenes (although it would be even better if every death had one), and new puzzles that extend the gameplay, which is quite good. The tasks in Chapter 1 and the Cave Tubby switch mechanics extend the gameplay but also bring some issues. One of the downsides is that Cave Tubby and Laa-Laa sometimes get stuck on map objects and don’t move.
The new things you’ve added to the game are nice, and I think you could apply these to every chapter. This is a fan-made remake, so feel free to be creative. Yeti Tubby deserves more than such a short and empty sequence, and the same goes for Dipsy. My request is that you make improvements to these as well after remaking the DLCs and finishing the series as a game. Honestly, I think it would be a great idea if you made a fourth game featuring characters like Dipsy, Lake Arrow Tubby, etc., who appear in multiplayer but not in the story mode :D
This game did some good things, the scene with chainsaw Dipsy trying to wear Ron's head was comedic to me. Showing how Guardian died if he gets killed by one of the threats was neat. And extra gameplay of following Noo-Noo up above the custard was great.
But basically death trapping the player and removing a Laa-Laa timeline where she doesn't die at the lake. I do not see the point of that, it's a waste of time for the player. I'm just personally angry about it because its one of my favorite parts of the original game and it was just removed in this rework for some reason.
why do people shit on this game? its so good, the announcers angry phase is pretty good but the only issue i found playing this is that some music was swapped like when you encountered the newborns and you confronted noo noo again
idk why people are mad, the game is actually much better than the original. Graphics wise, but not gameplay wise.
