I found out about this game on Gamemaker Player.
Some variety in enemies would be a good addition and if you allowed players to aim and shoot without moving that would help as well!

The year is 3072, the space Mecha-Dinos are attacking the solar system making poisonous plants grow all over the place.
Take the role of Dione, a Space Valkirie destinated to protect the Saturn Planet and its numerous moons. With her shockwave blaster and abilities, she'll crush any invasor she finds, and put an end to the poisoning of Saturn caused by the ever growing purple vegetation.
This game is an 8 way shotting direction Run 'n Gun with vicious enemies and big bosses to crush.
