Also, I like this game, because it is unfair. You may just enter the new room and become dead at that very moment. This is also the main reason for gaining the low score.
I got my first high score (13) when I used the normal tactics: I was dodging the killer, I put traps and I was afraid to enter the new room.
But I found another easier tactics affording you to infinitely run across the map collecting the victims. You need just to find the killer (and you always know where he is - he appears in the same spot every time at the beginning of the game) and just run with him behind you! He will never catch you, because you can always gain speed when going towards the following directions: up and right, right and down, left and down and left and up. This feature makes it always easy to dodge the killer even in the dead ends.
That's why I would recommend you to slightly encrease the speed of the killer, for the player could be able to escape his death only by putting a trap.
