Snake 1v1 is a real-time multiplayer and single-player browser game that brings a competitive twist to the classic Snake formula. Players can engage in fast-paced duels against each other or, test their skills against an AI bot.

How to Play

This is a 1 vs 1 multiplayer snake game. The last snake standing wins!

Game Modes

• Multiplayer (1 vs 1): Challenge another player in a head-to-head snake battle.

  • Creating a New Game (Private Lobby):

    1. Navigate to "Private Lobby" from the main menu.

    2. Click the "Create New Game" button.

    3. A unique Game Code will be displayed (e.g. aB7jK).

    4. Share this Game Code with your opponent. They will need it to join your game.

    5. Wait for your opponent to join. The game will start automatically once they connect.

    • Joining an Existing Game (Private Lobby):

      1. Navigate to "Private Lobby" from the main menu.

      2. Obtain the Game Code from the player who created the game.

      3. Enter the Game Code into the "Enter Game Code (Case Sensitive)" input field. Note that the code is case-sensitive.

      4. Click the "Join Game" button.

      5. The game will start automatically once you connect.

  • Public Lobby:

    1. Navigate to "Public Lobby" from the main menu.

    2. You can either "Create Public Lobby" to host a game that others can join from the list, or select an existing game from the "Open Games" list.

    3. Games start when two players are matched.

  • Player vs. AI Mode: Test your skills against a computer-controlled opponent. Perfect for practice or when you want a single-player challenge. Access this mode directly from the main menu.

Gameplay

• Objective: Be the last snake surviving on the screen.

• Controls:

  • PC: Use the Arrow Keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) or WASD Keys (W=Up, A=Left, S=Down, D=Right) to move your snake.

  • Mobile: Control your snake by tapping the area of the game screen corresponding to your desired direction (e.g., tap the top portion of the canvas to move up, the left portion to move left).

• Eating Food: Navigate your snake to eat the food pellets that appear on the screen. Each pellet consumed will make your snake grow longer.

• Winning & Losing:

  • You lose if your snake's head collides with any part of your opponent's snake or your own snake's body.

  • If your opponent collides, you win!

  • In Player vs. AI mode, the same rules apply against the computer-controlled snake.

4. Rematch

• After a game ends (multiplayer modes only), a modal will appear showing the winner.

• If you wish to play again, click the "Request Rematch" button.

• Your opponent will receive a notification about your rematch request.

• Both players must click "Request Rematch" (or "Accept" if the opponent already requested) for a new game to begin. If one player declines or leaves, the rematch will not occur.

• Rematch is not available in Player vs. AI mode; simply start a new game from the menu.
