Can you fix the crash bug on all android devices? I couldn't load the first level on my device. It crashs right when i tap on the screen when the help screen is shown

INTRODUCTION

Back in 2005, Sonic Jump was released via the "Sonic Cafe" mobile service in Japan. Then, in 2007, a remake was released internationally via the "SEGA Mobile" service (also known as Sonic Jump 2 in a few regions). And in 2011, an Android port was released via the "Puyo Puyo! Sega" mobile service only in Japan.

And in 2025...

Sonic Jump Anniversary is a game mod project in collaboration with GdGohan to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sonic Jump!

PRESENTATION

Sonic Jump Anniversary is a mod of the 2007 Sonic Jump's Android port that gives quality of life improvements to the game and extra features such as Modern Android Compatibility, Soundtrack Select Menu, Language Settings and many more surprises!

This mod is a followup to the Sonic Jump Classic mods, which include improvements such as Better Controls and Improved Audio Quality.

However, while Sonic Jump Anniversary is still in development, a demo is now available since the Sonic Jump's birthday (February 21st). Making the demo a perfect celebration to the Sonic Jump legacy!

GREAT NEWS:
The first level crash has been fixed! Meaning you can now play this game on Android 8 and above!

This fix is the most important update of them all, as many players were disappointed about the game not working properly on their modern devices.

After the loading screen, you will be granted with a Soundtrack Select menu, instead of the original Enable Sound menu. The Soundtrack Select menu is a tribute to other versions of Sonic Jump made by Hardlight to celebrate the legacy of Sonic Jump. This menu is also available in the OPTIONS menu.

Here are the different soundtracks that the game provides:

CLASSIC (OGG): This is the initial soundtrack of the game. The music tracks has been turned into .ogg files to improve the audio quality, as some music tracks didn't sound good.
PRO: This is the soundtrack from the 2012 Sonic Jump (also known as Sonic Jump Pro). Not only it features music remixes of the original Sonic Jump, but it also features additional music tracks for each level of the game (except for Cosmic Zone and Bonus Zone, which only uses the Cosmic Zone theme from Sonic Jump Fever).
FEVER: This is the soundtrack from Sonic Jump Fever. This soundtrack features fast-paced music tracks, great for clearing levels at high-speed!

The next feature is the Multi-Language Feature.

First, a Language Select Option is available in the OPTIONS menu.
Additionally, thanks to the Auto-Language Detection, the game automatically sets the language based on your device language when booting the game for the first time!

The available languages are English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Traditional Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.

A new challenger has arrived. It's Shadow the Hedgehog!

Shadow the Hedgehog is an additional playable character alongside Sonic, but he has different physics than Sonic. He can jump higher, but his double jump ability is smaller and falls faster when using it.

Shadow the Hedgehog is meant for expert players with faster reaction times. It's more difficult to defeat bosses with him, but with great reflexes, you can clear levels faster than with Sonic.

You can select Shadow in the brand-new CHARACTER SELECT menu.

Here are additional features to mention:

IMPROVED GAME CONTROLS: The "Super Jump" input is no longer limited to the icon. Thus, you can now touch anywhere on the screen while playing to perform a double jump (only when the Virtual Pad option is deactivated).
SOUND TEST: The OPTIONS menu also feature a SOUND TEST where you can test the sound effects and music tracks of each soundtrack.

More features will be available in the full version of Sonic Jump Anniversary. If you have watched a few videos of the beta versions on YouTube, you may know which surprises the game will provide!

Because Sonic Jump Anniversary is only available as a demo, the Sonic Jump Classic mods are still available to download. These mods has been updated in order to make them playable on Android 8 and above!

However, the Sonic Jump Classic mods are a limited edition. Meaning that they won't be accessible when the full version of Sonic Jump Anniversary will be released.
