Awesome and cool thumbnail graphic made by me. Most other graphics and sounds by Sega. Probably legal under fair use, or something. Additional credits in readme. If I used your graphics and forgot to credit you or if you just don't want them in the game please contact me and I will credit you or remove them.

Sonic: Quest For Chili Dogs is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad Sonic fangame created in just under 2 months.

Sonic is feeling hungry one day, so he goes to get some chili dogs. When he gets to the Chili Dog Area Place, he finds that Eggman has stolen all of the chili dogs in the world. Sonic is mad. He is hungry. He gets so mad he decides to Kill Eggman.

The game is sort of an infinite runner, but with levels. You run fast, never stop, defeat enemies, and pick up rings. Pick up enough rings and you can move on to the next level.

Controls are WASD to move, space to jump, and left click to shoot (when applicable) and use menus.

This game is not spectacular, but it's the first game I've ever made, so I don't think it's too bad! There are bugs to be worked out, and features to add, but it's playable for the time being.

Readme file contains strong language so i bumped the rating up to teen lol

Semi-Periodical Update: The past few months have been increasingly rough for me personally, and the engine is still a flaming piece, so development is not currently in progress. It will get finished eventually. Please try to bear with me

Semi-Periodical Update: Development has all but halted due to the limitations of the engine becoming increasingly apparent. I still plan to finish this game, but the transition to Godot will be rough.

Also brand new for Reheated, there's a character select screen that shows the character's stats and abilities. I think it looks pretty okay.

Any negative comments towards the drawings on these screens will be seared into my consciousness for all eternity.

With a new version of QFCD comes a new title screen, which I think blows the old version out of the water in terms of not looking like ass fungus.

Here's a screenshot from Quest For Chili Dogs Reheated, showing off the new HUD and Sonic sprites. They're still unfinished, but I think the HUD especially is a vast improvement from the nasty variable boxes from the original game.
