Is this fangame still in development?
Sonic 2: Prelude is a fan made prequel to the official Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Created to tell the story on a island halfway near the same island known as West Side Island from Sonic 2. Sonic was climbing into his trusty biplane, the red-and-white Tornado, the blue hedgehog begins flying the skies, looking for places unknown. He found a island known as Northern Island. Dr. Eggman is there, and also has the Emeralds of Northern Island, and he also started investigating about West Side Island, and it's special places. Now Sonic is starting to foil Eggman's plans once again. Then somewhat a stranger that is a two-tailed fox in Northern Island is following Sonic trying to emulate as a new sidekick.
Some features:
2 playable characters: Sonic, and Tails (Not playable in Demo).
Refreshed, changed zones.
Each of the characters have their own abilities.
This is a fangame, and it should not be used as profit or reproduction.
This game plays on much of the scrapped prototype material of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, & Sonic CD (2011 & 1993 [uses some material]) too. such as canned designs and unused levels, etc.
