I think the game has potential. but still needs a lot of work.
I know that it is still in early development, but I would like to share my experiences playing it.
First of all, it looks really nice! Also, runs perfectly fine, no issues at all on that end. Animations etc look perfect too, however the rolling with the giant vase on the back is pretty odd, but the game did interest me. However, the controls really bugged me. Having to use Shift + Space to jump, holding both right and left mouse button to aim properly.. it felt a bit odd to me. It would make more sense to press only space to jump or RMB to aim in my opinion. Right now, it doesn't always work that well, which can bring risks in combat.
Speaking of combat, I don't know if it is just me missing something, but the different spells you find, I could not use them. Again, as it is in early development, I can understand why, but then I find it odd to implement them in the demo already.
Also, I am not sure if it is a bug, but I found some chests that were not able to open, or the loot spawned at a different place (or it was a drop from an enemy). Another thing I found was when I pressed the R button, I believe, the game gives me a look of the map where you can navigate in? But it also reset my game, although I still had all items I found etc.
Finally, I missed a bit of story. Again, early development, this will come later, but it would be nice to get at least some kind of idea what the game will be about when you play the demo in my opinion.
That all being said, I wonder what else the game has to offer in the future. I wish you the best of luck with the project!

Soul Divided is the next chapter in the Venia universe that I am building. This will be the first pure action game in the universe.
Play as the mage Soul who is being tested by the god Draco. Soul sacrificed his whole life to unite the fragments of the Human Essence. When he was almost successful Draco became Jealous; he stole Soul's voice, scattered the human's essence and condemned him to roam with no purpose.
Soul's flask has the ability to unite the Essence once again but first you must travel to find them.
Magic is your weapon. As you explore the lands of Venia you will get more of your essence back and in turn your power. This will be set in a new age in the venia universe just like all Venia games. Check out Legend of Venor ( I will finish it one day) and Maid of Venia by Starving Lama on here if you are interested in the universe.
This is early and much will change. I am doing a closed alpha build but I am putting a demo up here for anyone curious about gameplay.
I will keep updating throughout development.
2 current ways to get closed alpha access; you can support Maid of Venia, or you can support Jackroid. In the next month or 2 we will have Kitten Epic on kickstarter or early access Steam and you can get closed alpha then through KE.
