Not bad for your first game. Consider using a sprite mask to prevent the ship from getting stuck on walls, though.

The graphics are kind of sloppy and you get stuck on walls a lot. Also the walls should be more contrasted from the background colors - perhaps you could make the walls brown asteroids.

Quite a cool game, if I were you I would make the lives counter and the level white so you can see it clearly
Also try to decrease the lag cause it's quite laggy.
