Stellar Contact
Stellar Contact is a fast-paced real-time strategy game (RTS) taking place in the known regions of our universe. In Stellar Contact, you can choose between two conflicting Factions (The Human Alliance or The Hive). Our take on RTS is unique since we use a 3D interactive background and a 2D "front" layer for combat management. Our game is Multiplayer focused (1v1); let me explain this further: in every match, you spawn in a randomly generated system against the opposite faction. There are 10 systems in total; your goal is simple, get the best economic position to secure total domination over the system sector.
Build battleships, colonize new worlds and achieve victory!
Stellar Contact will be a free-to-play game with cosmetic expansions as our only source of income. That's right, we at Kugelblitz will never use predatory systems in our games. Our planned release date is mid-2019, but we are willing to give out some stable early-access versions this December.
About the Factions
The Human Alliance: was shortly formed after the "Great Mistake" (2320) wherein the humans retrieved an unknown organism to an outer-system sector. The organism, at first peaceful, quickly adapted to their environment and consumed their outer-colonies in months. With the human's being in conflict themselves, they first united under a common banner to stop what is now known as "The Hive".
The Hive: an ancient organism dating from forerunner times. It waits for a suitable "activation" and then swiftly infests nearby territory to expand its will. The organism is known to think as a collective instead of an individual and is thus named "The Hive" accordingly.

Current development progress: we've finished basic colony management and system generation. We're now focusing on ships and the selection system. We hope to gain some support in order to push ourselves to a good start when our game releases. We welcome anyone to join our Discord Server to view recent progress. We also post Dev Vlogs/Diaries when we have finished an important aspect of our game.
We are a small indie dev team so progress is slower than our competitors.
