its so hard. unless you dart off to the side off course. hehe
Simple and very hard!
Hello there, this here is a game that I am developing for college, it happens to be my first game, so constructive and helpful critisizm would be great :).
I've had to gather different forms of research towards the design of a games for a 35+ year old of the opposite gender. This was slightly difficult, as I didn't reeeaally want to end up being biased, though it may appear that way. When it comes down to it, it turns out woman like sweet food more than men, who prefer meat! Who would of guessed?? Anyway, I also learnt that women also are generally more likely to own a smartphone, and the majority of the population of Candy Crush players are female, so it only made sense to me to create a game based for phones about sweet foods! I want a scoring based system with bright colours to keep the player playing, to keep them occupied when they aren't busy.
The gameplay is pretty similar to that of an old style forwards scrooling shooter, with me poooosssibly leaning towards making it like a japanese shooter, as I like the mass barrage of projectiles shooting out of the main player. The main player is a sweet thing by the way, it's basically a giant lollipop attatched to some form of sugary orange-type thing... And it fires smaller lollipops as bullets, trying to appeal to the whole '35+ year old women', with all of the enemies appearing to be stupidly sweet hings, such as bonbons, and chocolate. When they blow up they will either be an over the top explosion or a bundle of confetti. I know which one I WOULD prefer but... Anyway, This is work in progress and will undergo a lot of changes. I think. So feedback would be nice :)
