A bit later than planned - but possibly more than I expected... another update, this time with a new (to me) mechanic! ADF Headquarters have enhanced your ship with new hardware - the DashDrive; which converts inertial energy into a speed boost with added shield effect... yes folks, it's a dash Currently mapped to the circle button, you'll dash forwards (dash distance depends on your current speed) to avoid asteroids and enemy fire. Other minor improvements include some minor effects on some of the stages and some neater code.
Temporary Space is at heart a simple shooty game based on asteroids - this was actually intended to be an update to the original game (as found on VitaDB) but over time it became its own game instead! So instead I give you a sequel - Expanse; featuring more space, more planets, more shooting and even a boss!
This is essentially a demo/prologue that showcases the first sector as I was originally hoping and still needs more playtesting (there are a few rough edges, but hopefully no bugs) so I am very much looking for feedback to see if anything needs balancing, and more importantly how it plays!
Play is standard asteroids fare - turn, thrust and shoot (and stay alive!). Button layout is also shown in the options menu (this has been updated with the dash) .
