I got a "Failed to lead script" error after fighting a battle in the zone after the boat. My save is still safe but the application is unplayable

About the game
The Adventures of Crackhead Jack: Classic tells the story of Crackhead Jack, whose roommate needs crack and wants Jack to get it. In doing so, he goes on an epic quest to acquire it, meeting friends, enemies, and buying weapons to slaughter the innocent. The game is about 1-2 hours in length, depending on how you play it.
