I have 3 main complaints from this game. Don't take this as me saying that the game is bad, because it's not. Instead use this to make it even better! (1) The controls are too slippery. In the first ghost level, as soon as I landed on the block I would slide off and fall into the fire. (2) Hitting the side of a block stops you from moving up any further and thus you are doomed to fall into the fire. (3) You have very little time to react to the ghost in the second room. I couldn't get past this part of the game because the frustration of the controls was stronger than my desire to finish it. Also, when you are making a jump at the top of the second room, it is impossible to align it because you jump over the view and then you just have to hope you land on the single block hovering over the door platform. I had to stop for about half a second every time I landed so that I wouldn't fall off the platforms and so I could take the time to adjust my next jump. A platformer should make the jumping feel natural, like an extension of the keyboard. I suppose Super Mario brothers has some slippery aspects to the controls, but they are managable and eventually become integrated into the level design and gameplay. The level design in this game is simply not built for slippery controls. If you manage to fix all of this, you will have a decent platformer on your hands which would definitely be a time killer for anyone who happens to stumble across it. Hell, I even killed some time with it, and would have killed even more time if the controls were more responsive and the level design was more natural. Overall, my score is 3/5, but don't let that bring you down. Making games is hard and it's not a skill you learn overnight, and it's also not a skill that most people have. You are one of the few people who can be proud to call themselves a game developer, so never give up on your dreams and goals!
The game has no sound at all would be my first complaint.
My second is that it is unbeatable. Don't tell me that I'm just bad at it, the level with the ghast chasing you and saws in it is just not do-able.
Your main character is literally Steve from Minecraft with a red shirt. The animations are sort of clunky too.
The gameplay is okay, level layouts worked until the one mentioned previously.
The most unfair general things were the random nature of the skeleton enemy, and that you slowed down a ton on the sides of blocks, making it so that if you barely touched it you'd be doomed.
Finally I don't even begin to comprehend the lsd levels.
This could have been an alright game, but you're saying its finished, and where it stands, the best I can say is a 2/5. It just needs too much improved to be fun.
no sound, but its fine. Keep it up. Also, very rage inducing
Very rage inducing. I like the sandpaper graphics.
A Short Casual platformer. Excellent time killer.
