Right off from the bat, TCM amazed me. The level designs were perfect, the game-play was insanely entertaining, and an ease to pick up. Games like this only come around so often, and when they do, they are often missed. Don't miss this one.
As I mentioned before, the gameplay was insanely entertaining. I never thought I would ever have this much fun playing a ball game. Florain opted to disinclude the ability to jump, which lead to some really interesting level designs. Not one mechanic seemed left out when it came to the levels as a whole, and I really appeciated Florian's attention to detail when it came to crafting masterfully flowing designs.
The graphics were simple and attractive. I had no trouble discerning myself from the level geometry, so once again, well done. The backgrounds were also very nice, and did an excellent job of stopping the player from being bored of the level geometry.
The soundtrack was masterful. The little pieces that played during the Acts (Act-2 especially) were beautiful, engaging and admirable. There were pieces that drove me to race against the clock, while there were others which envoked me to be careful in my control of the game physics.
Overall, The Contact Machine is a simple, entertaining, and well polished ball game, which, to me, makes the genre feel interesting again. I haven't had this much fun with a ball game since Marble Madness. Play it. You owe it to yourself.
Cool
Played it 1 year ago and liked it. I want to complete it again right now. Where does it store the save file? I need to delete it.
