What do you think?

its outta be awesome! where is download?

i wanna play! it sounds awesome!

is it playable yet?

I've been learning C++ for the past few weeks now, and I feel I've gathered enough knowledge to make a game that is remotely in the general vincity of something fairly close to fun without it being a clone of tetris: The Dungeon Of Endless Grinding. It's a retro-dungeon-crawler-thingy that features - wait for it - ASCII graphics. I know, I know, mad programming skillz I have, modesty I have not. But whatever, I'm working on it, and the intention is that it will at some point be fun. I've made much of the basic stuff now, including the random level generation, the input stuff, the "graphical" rendering, and player stats. The plan for what is next is first to finish the complex loot-generator that will create a wide variety of medieval weapons (your traditional stuff like greatswords and maces but also the lesser-known ones - of which there exist a butt-ton) out of various (both real and fictitious) materials, and to make a complex turn-based combat system that will work using "Action Points" and moves that each have special effects and differing AP costs. Battle against more than one enemy will be implemented right from the start, and I may make it a MUD, although that would be a long-term project. If anyone is still reading by now, and would like to request that I upload an alpha or beta, one needs only ask, and it shall be so.

*Loot thingy completed!

*Sorry for not reporting in a long while, I was doing every stat modifier for every single weapon part. It was a colossal task that was just so darn BORING, and I had a hard time getting myself to work on it. But now it is done, and so a playable version should be put together soon enough. I also had a handful of ideas that make me want to push this further than originally planned.
