This game shows promise, but I didn't end up getting too far in it. I also didn't know what to do after I fed the cows, and there were many times where I was randomly flung into the air after picking up or dropping the fork. I agree that a run function would have been great. I liked the voice acting, wasn't a big fan of the broken glasses, and it was very easy to turn way too quickly. I spent about 10 minutes just trying to feed the cows because I kept dropping the fork near the hay bale and had to wait for the text to pop up. I thought it had nice atmosphere, just wish I could have gotten further into it!
I couldnt find the damn phone! Cool game though, I like the story as well. I included it in part 2 of my Asylum Jam Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) http://youtu.be/WZQsMOO2E5A
I wish there was a way to turn the "broken glasses" overlay off. It makes everything annoying.
A run button would be nice, along with some cross-hairs to make tasks easier to preform.
I'm also not sure why the character jumps so high.
The visuals and voiceacting is great, but I couldn't progress very far. What am I supposed to do once I fed the cows ?
Also, the reflections in the broken glasses are a little too intense for me.
pretty good
"The Farmer" is a prototype developed during the #asylumjam 2014. All bugs are intentional ;-)
You are playing as the substitute on a farm where the farmer has been suffering an injury and is tied to the wheelchair for some time. Your job is to do farm work while he will call you from time to time and check up on you. However, the animals are behaving strangely and the farmer did mention some unexpected visitors before the accident...
The project suffered a bit from the usual problems of big teams (ambition, organization, etc) but was developed with a lot of heart and motivation and we are definitely looking forward to implementing the gameplay and story into this world we have created.
