A decent little game with just enough annoyances to stop me from having a satisfying amount of fun. Hopefully an update/sequel will improve!
The Rite of Kindling is a action-rpg that takes inspiration main from the souls series. You play a caveman(fun fact, hes the last living/sane human, crazy right?) whom by a dream is now convinced that nature herself has chosen him to venture to the fabled fire temple, to sacrifice himself at its sacred flame and by this rite of kindling cleanse this dying world in fire. So it may regrow from the ashes one day and the cycle of life may continue, at least for a now...
The game is designed to be a short yet complete action-rpg with a fun dash of difficulty. Taking at most, roughly a hour or two to finish. Having filled those few hours with all manner of bosses to fight, areas to explore, and loot to collect!(as well as some of the most cheesy writing you will ever read!)
Controls are explained in-game, and may be rebound via a config file.
