The Singing Clergyman
āA strange, hand-made automaton found in a hidden backroom of the Church of the Benevolent Sound in Claremont, Ohio. Discovered by two teenage urbex explorers in 1986, both claimed to have heard it sing in their presence. While both claim that its sound was ālike nothing else Iāve ever heardā, both suffered from extreme insomnia, difficulty concentrating and a desperate need to go back to the clergyman and hear it sing again. As of this writing the location of the machine is unknown.ā - Trevor Henderson, @slimyswampghost on Twitter
You are an urban explorer who stumbles upon a presumably abandoned church in the middle of a local forest. Although you are initially apprehensive to enter, curiosity drives you to investigate. However, it quickly becomes apparent that something else doesnāt want you there.
Inspired (and creeped out) by what I believe is Trevor Hendersonās most unsettling creation, The Singing Clergyman, I developed this game as a passion project and an absolute labor of love. This is my first time using a creative modeling software like Blender so, given I made most of the assets, please forgive me if the quality is inconsistent. Similarly, while Iāve experimented with many projects in Unity, this is my first full-fledged game, so I am happy to take comments/criticism that can improve my game design! Finally, make sure you check out Trevorās various creations on Twitter, @slimyswampghost, for a good scare!
